Byetta Weight Loss Trial

Weight management is a key ingredient in fighting or controlling diabetes. This trial seeks to find out the effects of Byetta (exenatide), an injectable drug that reduces the level of blood glucose, on weight loss in people with type 2 diabetes. Researchers are looking for 190 people with type 2 diabetes to participate in this 24-week trial. To be eligible, you must be between 18 and 75 years old and have been treated with a stable dose of metformin, sulfonylurea, or a combination of the two, for at least six weeks prior to screening.
