Letter to the Department of Health and Human Services: Diabetes and Chronic Kidney Disease

On July 10th, 2019, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Trump Administration announced their commitment to prioritizing medical care for people living with kidney disease. In response, The diaTribe Foundation sent a letter thanking HHS and calling on the Department to recognize and include diabetes as a critical risk factor of chronic kidney disease. We urge HHS to strengthen diabetes-related health care, especially diabetes therapies that have shown renal-protection, as part of its plans to prevent chronic kidney disease. See the letter below:
