For World Diabetes Day on November 14, Abbott released a cool new interactive infographic about A Day in the Life of an Insulin-Using Patient. Approximately 26% of the 18.8 million Americans diagnosed with diabetes use insulin as part of their diabetes management, and the infographic illustrates how people have to think about insulin when they wake up, during meals, at work, while exercising, and before they go to bed. Our favorite part is the “Did You Know” section, which clears up several misconceptions about insulin and diabetes management. You can view and share the infographic at www.abbott.com/insulin-using-patient.htm. We loved the design and how it made us think harder about the daily realities of using insulin. –NL/KC
