Santina Johnson is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of South Alabama, focusing on Basic Medical Sciences with a specialization in pharmacology. Originally from Alabama's Black Belt counties, she holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. Santina has worked extensively as a medical writer, educator, and mentor, using her expertise to advocate for science policy and healthcare improvements. Currently, she is an ASPET Washington Fellow, where she contributes to discussions on funding for health-related research. When not involved in her research or policy work, Santina dedicates time to community health education and enjoys engaging in various educational outreach programs.
