New Tools to Keep Your Heart and Kidneys Healthy
December 7, 2022
Heart disease is one of the main causes of death in people with diabetes, and diabetes is one of the leading causes of kidney failure. The good news is that we now have better tools and strategies to keep your heart, blood vessels, and kidneys healthy while living with diabetes. These include lifestyle changes and medications that can significantly lower your risk of developing these complications — or slow their progression.
With a focus on therapies for people with T2D, this panel will give you the information you need to know to keep your heart and kidneys healthy. Our panel of experts will include two endocrinologists at the center of making new preventative therapies available, a renowned cardiologist and researcher who specializes in keeping people with diabetes healthy, and a person living with diabetes who has survived both a heart attack and diabetic kidney disease.
Our highly-regarded speakers are Dr. Mikhail Kosiborod, Cardiometabolic Center Alliance; Dr. Leo Seman, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals; Dr. Surendra Sivarajah, AstraZeneca; Anne Safran Dalin, Patient Advocate and Member, National Kidney Foundation Advocacy Committee. The panel will be moderated by Amy Tenderich of DiabetesMine.PANELISTS
