- For people with type 1 diabetes, walking after meals can cut post-meal blood sugar spikes in half.
- For people with type 2 diabetes, every additional 2,600 steps taken a day is associated with a 0.2% lower A1c
- For everyone else, walking just 20 minutes a day is associated with a 30% lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
