Insulet Expands Financial Assistance for Omnipod Users During COVID-19

People that meet certain eligibility criteria can receive up to six months of pods free of charge

Insulet announced that it expanded its financial assistance program in response to COVID-19. With this update, Omnipod users may be able to receive a six-month supply of products (60 pods) free of charge. The program is focused on current US customers who have lost jobs and health insurance as a result of the pandemic. If you are currently covered by health insurance (including Medicaid), you will not be eligible for the free pods.

The program is available through the end of 2020 and only in the US. To learn more or sign up, current customers can call the Insulet Customer Care team at 1 (800) 591-3455 and select option 2 for assistance.

With this announcement, Insulet joins Lilly and Novo Nordisk in expanding programs to help people with diabetes afford medication and supplies during COVID-19.
