Diabetes Stigma News
Diabetes stigma refers to the experiences of exclusion, rejection, prejudice, or blame that people with diabetes unfairly face. It largely stems from inaccurate beliefs that individual behavior and poor choices lead to diabetes. However, this not only leads to misplaced judgment and blame, but it also ignores other contributing factors, like genetics, the environment, and socioeconomic status.
